How do restricted or healthy fascia influence your horse’s movement in training and vice versa?
Unlock the missing link between healthy movement and optimal training results.
Have you ever wondered why your horse feels ‘stuck’ or resistant, even though their body seems fine and your saddle fits? The answer may lie in something less talked about, but incredibly important: fascia.
Fascia is the connective tissue that wraps around every muscle, bone, and organ in your horse’s body. When it’s healthy, it allows for free, elastic, and efficient movement. When it’s restricted, it can limit range of motion, cause compensation patterns, and even affect your horse’s attitude or willingness to work.
In this LIVE and FREE webinar, we’ll dive into:
-
What fascia really is and why it matters in training and rehabilitation
-
The difference between healthy and restricted fascia – how it looks, how it feels
-
How to recognize fascial tension in your horse’s movement and posture
-
How your training can either help or harm the fascia over time
-
Practical tips for supporting healthy fascia in everyday work
Whether you’re a rider, trainer, or therapist, understanding fascia is a game-changer. You’ll leave this webinar with a fresh perspective on your horse’s body – and how small changes in your training can lead to big improvements in comfort, performance, and long-term soundness.

Who is Karin Leibbrandt?
Karin Leibbrandt has over twenty years of experience as a veterinarian, the vast majority of which she has spent (and still spends) specializing in rehabilitation. She is a seasoned trainer, instructor, and myofascial release therapist. Additionally, she is the author of the book ‘Compassionate Training For Today’s Sport Horse’ and the founder of a Dutch equine rehabilitation trainer program.
She aims to spread as much knowledge as possible about healthy training, with the goal of minimizing injuries and irreparable damage. Karin excels at providing clear, concise, and structured explanations, ensuring that the information is conveyed optimally.
Who is Lydia Van Oosten?
Lydia van Oosten is Karin’s right hand, part of the instructor team and has been trained by Karin Leibbrandt and Tessa Roos for years. Helping horses is what she knew she wanted to do, even long before she came into contact with the biomechanically healthy way of training that Karin teaches. With her business Wereldpaard, she trains rehabilitation horses, starts young horses, restarts horses and helps those with behavioral issues.
And who or what is Horse in Mind?
Hi! I’m Rianne, owner of Horse in Mind, which is a platform about welfare in horse training. The Dutch version (yes, all of us are from the Netherlands!) of this platform has blogs, a podcast, webinars, courses, online events and a membership. This English version will start out with webinars like these and a course on healthy training. More will definitely follow soon! Everything we do is centered around a friendly and biomechanically healthy approach.
It’s a delight to work with Karin, Tessa and Lydia and help them share their knowledge and inspiration with horse owners all over the world. And I myself keep learning too. If you sign up for this free webinar you’ll meet us. I hope to see you there!

I can't attend at that time and date. Will there be a replay?
When signing up, you’ll have the option to order the replay along with your registration. It will be available for 30 days after the webinar ends.
Can I join if I don't own a horse?
Sure! This webinar is valuable for every horse person. Even if you can’t apply the information to your own horse, you can share the gained knowledge with others. Spread the word! 🙂
Is this webinar suited for me if I only do groundwork at the moment?
Definitely! It’s very valuable to learn more about healthy fascia before you even get on the horse. Actually, if a horse is trained well from the ground and moves with a healthy fascial system, it will be easier to teach them how to carry a rider in a healthy way.
